I just know that David Shor ran some tests in six representative counties in Nebraska and Nevada, found a few people who didn't like the phrase, and then sold the advice to D leadership with some cross tabs in a polished powerpoint presentation

It doesn’t take a political science major that’s been deeply involved in politics for decades to see the Dems aren’t connecting with voters like they used to. Their old strategies aren’t working. I’ll vote dem till I die now, but I hate their messaging now.

I'm a longtime critic of weak Democratic messaging but that particular message is not the way to go. It is over the top and obviously exaggerated. We have so much viable ammunition that this would just be stupid. Seriously, folks, it just isn't very clever. And it would fail.
