was gonna say i want to introduce a computer-genie-thing into myclixie that takes things too literally at the detriment of everyone and then remembered i already made XIW, the installation wizard

i mean for the most part avery's c:/ is a bureaucracy run by programs who follow instruction manuals to the letter and still uses outdated/duct-taped tech for day-to-day work. it's jank allllll the way down.
in a beautiful world i'd love to feel compelled to examine the political aspects of c:/ and others like it, however myclixie is yuri primarily (even if [avery] doesnt know it yet) and theres already so much going on its just gonna have to backseat
just know. again. it's jank all the way down. yeah there are manual overrides in special cases for certain tasks & operators can use discretion but for the most part i just wanted the world to be as close to computer workings while including independent sentient beings
remembering i also set aside XIW & clixie's backstories as epilogue/bonus stories. if there's one thing i really like doing its giving programs mental illness
tbh part of my brain might also be stuck in 2016 because "if you introduce a political system in your story that is inherently injust in some way you are morally obligated to fix or dismantle it by the end" was absolute a SU fandom talking point
i'd love to ~instill a democracy~ in my story, random strawman, however consider: thats not what its about
best case scenario would be avery figures out how to upgrade her laptop so everyone at the office gets new computers that don't operate exclusively in binary
