Not just broken "promises" as lies but deception at the core as once he became an investor at Tesla he sued so they'd pretend he was a "founder" to establish his false reputation as an "inventor" and "innovator" instead.

One of these days I would like one CNBC talking head, or interviewer on an earnings call, to ponder the question - Is is reasonable to ascribe a $1 trillion valuation to businesses that don't exist and don't generate revenue? If the answer is yes, what is the annual minimum R&D spend to get there?1/

Because right now Tesla spends about $4.6 billion per year in R&D. And if half goes to Robotaxis and Optimus, that is only $2-something billion per year. And there are dozens of other companies that could dwarf that and (presumably) significanty eat into whatever profits Tesla hopes to some day get

It should also be noted that GM and Ford spend about $8-9 billion per year each on R&D. Twice what Tesla in total! Perhaps 4x as much as Tesla spends on autos! What does that suggest for Tesla's future as an auto company, if they aren't spending anywhere close to the industry standard on R&D?
