oh i love the texture and noise. its chaotic at first but the lines lead me around the piece in a satisfying way. Do you have any thoughts you wanna share on it or do u prefer leaving it up to interpretation?
When I paint I let the painting take me where it wants to go and I love to hear others interpretation of it because art means different things and invokes different feels....I like your interpretation,π
Thats awesome! I admit I tend to be more distracted by the craftsmanship in abstract work than a meaning i might interpret, I'm unpracticed in that regard. But I love getting to see like. The action of the art being made in its final form. The energy, the evidence of the medium. Very cool!
Do you also love seeing 3D art by 3D artists who use Blender, Gmod, MMD, and Source Filmmaker to name a few? Because I use Source Filmmaker for my 3D renders.
it doesnt come across my feed a lot but i do think its cool! I considered learning to use source filmmaker a while back bc i wanted to get into 3d animation but it never happened.
Thatβs great! I β€οΈart too & my plan will be to hang out with family & many many artists over the next 4 years. Also I plan to spend extra time in my art studio
What about AI art? Do you like it as well?
On the right is an ink and watercolor I did. On the left is the AI interpretation of the right one, with a few extras I added.
Had to laugh at this all-loving sentiment which is nothing like that which prevailed at the art school that I attended back in the day, where viscerally loathing other artists and regarding their feeble creations with disdainful contempt was far more the case.
damn bro we had concrit where we were all supportive of each other and helped build each other up, and encouraged each others different strengths. What you went through sounds like a toxic nightmare to me. but everyones different and prefers diff environments i guess
Not really. Cruel, nasty and mean-spirited, to be sure, but in no way was it "limiting" at all. More just what one would expect to arise in such an environment with a lot of competing egos and "creatives" with differing visions and ideological notions in close proximity to one another.
Yep! and AI will never ever be able to replicate that feeling true artists possess. Don't be afraid of AI. It is purely an empty copycat of talentless hacks.ππ
Well, I'm gonna paint my picture
Paint myself in blue and red and black and gray
All of the beautiful colors are very, very meaningful
Yeah, well, you know grey is my favorite color
I felt so symbolic yesterday
If I knew Picasso
I would buy myself a grey guitar and play.
if you are able to, you can just do it. i think everyone should try it. Doesn't have to be drawing. Can be collage. Or making stuff out of cardboard box scraps. Crochet. Sculpting.
Thanks for the encouragement. I do dabble for fun but not serious or good enough to consider myself an artist. A hobbyist at best. I sketch and dabble in water colours. I'm experimenting with acrylics at the moment. One day, when I'm ready ...
Hobby artists are artists! I rarely do it for money. I mostly do it for me. Theres no skill barrier to being an artist either :) If youre making art, youre an artist. I feel like we made a mistake when we decided artists were a special kind of person. Being an artist comes free with being a human!
Well, then, I defer to your higher authority and humbly accept your generosity! There is something special about people who make art, though. All kinds of art. They have more delicate souls that view the world more tenderly than say, a writer, who tends to be more cynical.
People aren't neatly defined as belonging to any one category, fortunately. We feel pulled in different directions at different times, depending on our circumstances. And if we don't find a way to reconcile with those different selves, we might not feel quite as fulfilled.
To get "ready" you must practice. If this is something you want to pursue, make time in your day for it. I have personally gone down the "one day" path where I believed I wasn't good enough to participate, and I experienced the most growth in my skill when I let that mindset go.
No lofty ambitions, quite happy dabbling and even happier appreciating for now--a means of expression at the moment. Same for music. But I must say, I wasn't expecting such supportive words from complete strangers like yourself, it's heartwarming and much appreciated, thank you.
Same Jack, same. In fact, Iβll sit and listen, watch, read, absorb or eat just about anything that some one has poured a little passion into. I think itβs what makes life so wonderful.
