Unless the city is walkable, has lots of nature, and a slower pace, I can’t see my generation wanting to head into condo’s.
It’s not a healthy way to age, IMHO. I grew up in SK. Most towns had 1 floor retirement garden homes. You could walk everywhere; you stayed part of the community.

I should have clarified my generation in this region of Canada. It doesn’t feel healthy compared to more connection in community. Which I didn’t find easy in a condo. Nor have others I have spoken to.
But yes, there are folks who really like condo living.
