“This is the precise moment we should be studying Palestine in order to understand ourselves and what's coming and our responsibility in the world as an imperial power,” says Palestinian scholar Noura Erakat.

I don’t know any other country that would initiate a terror attack, cheer Israeli women being dragged out of trucks bleeding from their crotch after being raped , amongst other things and then play the victims
Collective punishment is a crime against humanity. Did the Israeli authorities go door-to-door interviewing households in Gaza to determine in they were "1/2 Hamas," "1/4 Hamas "or "1/8 Hamas" or "not Hamas"? No. There was no motivation to do so. What am I referring to here? Nuremberg Laws.
2006 was a long time ago. The fact that the US under George W. Buch was still in Iraq and Afghanistan obviously did not help matters. The point isn't that Hamas exists or not. That should be clear by now.
Very well said! I don't know anyone who would commit a terrorist act and then try to look like a victim. And then you get the same reaction back (aka Israel's bombing Palestine) and you get mad and wonder why you ever deserved this. Uhhhh maybe don't slaughter 1200 people and cheer about it.
Americans like to think of the Middle East is too complicated to understand. It isn’t. Israel was granted statehood in 1948. Palestinians were promised statehood and that never happened. Instead, the USA still wants to block Palestinians from achieving that goal. Why?
As of June 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 146 of the 193 member states of the UN.
That’s over 75% of all UN nations.

No govt agency handles civilian survivors or keeps their records. Japanese courts rejected their compensation demands of 11 million yen, $74,300 each, saying citizens were supposed to endure suffering.
