I have zero criticism for Ringrose over that red card. Watch it back. He was shooting in to prevent Wales getting an isolation on Prendergast that they 100% would have scored from. Got it wrong, but its completely understandable looking at it again - ThreadSky

He was on one knee when he attempted the tackle. I think it probably was a red but a ban would be harsh. That said, I expect one.

There is energy and team resources being wasted covering for Prendergasts weaknesses. This will cost us. One spiral 50-22 doesnt make up for 8 missed tackles, 3 knock ons and kicking out on the full at a critical point. 66% success rate from the tee isnt good either.

Does this not speak to a wider issue in defence though?

For me, Ringrose had a perfect angle on a hip. Tackle could have been made legally and very effectively.
