I liked Lee County a lot, and I miss it sometimes. It’s the yahoos who go to Montgomery who I don’t miss at all.

And what's worse if that they'll get no serious Democratic opposition. I fully realize a Dem wouldn't win, anyway, but the fact that the party doesn't even make an effort to seriously contest these offices is infuriating.

I completely agree with you.
We have to at least put decent candidates forward so Dems do feel somewhat supported & have a community in this state.
It was so refreshing engaging with supportive community at the No Kings protest.
It goes a long way towards building up the movement & party.
