I'll often ask it repeat a sentence, or ask for a word. Voice mode used to be terrible at this, but it now rolls well with interruptions. Or I'll ask it to continue the story.

Here are example questions. I ask for questions one at a time, so it can correct me.

I don't do this, but notice how easy it is to get a word list for a story. This sort of thing would have been solid gold for me back in graduate school. And while AI cheating is big risk in academics, it can scarcely be so for languages for which there's going to be a test!

Here's asking it for similar stories in other languages I practice—French, Turkish and Greek. (In fact, I never do Greek because I can't get it to use the Erasmian pronunciation, as opposed to modern.)

That's it. AI sucks at a lot, but it's useful and fun for this. SPOKEN Latin particularly is something few of us ever do. But it's great practice, forcing you to understand Latin "as it comes," rather than succumbing to the common antipattern of "looking for the verb," etc.
