It matters what games you want to try. I'm pleased as punch with my previous-gen Steam Deck, but I also haven't asked it to handle anything heavier than Stardew because I'm used to WASD.

It's not out of the question that we'd have a season or 2 of wanting to try some of the latest/greatest/buzz-worthy titles, or at least those of recent seasons like CYBERPUNK 2077 or INDIANA JONES AND THE GREAT CIRCLE (pretty random choices, mind you.) Oh, and: is VR compatibility a thing?

Here's some buzz regarding the newest generation of handhelds, & we can wait until Black Friday or whenever. I'm interpreting something in this CNet article to say that the Lenovo won't allow access to Epic games, while the planned next-gen ROG XBox Ally should? All can port out to play on monitor?
