First, it's important to clarify that there are no "transgender" mice. Mice obviously lack the capacity for self-reflection and social constructs of gender.

The major difference between males and females are sex chromosomes🧬
Males typically have XY chromosomes, while females have XX. These chromosomes carry genetic information that influences a lot more than just sex. For example, whether people will go bald is information within the X chromosome
