They got a little freaked out by me because they couldn't read if I was impressed or not or judging. I have an excellent flat face in part due to my autism but also ptsd. But, you know... if you're actually psychic do you really need to utilize my face expressions? Anyhoo....

Now there *has* historically been something wrong with my gall bladder... so I could give her points for that. Except the reason she went off about my liver is that she thought the stupidly fancy can of water I was drinking was a beer. I had to show her the can to prove it.

I've had some good ones. But I normally check them out with known connections first. And I look for a streak of humility. But I've tended to not pay because I can do my own. The only problem is when I don't want to believe my own forcast because it's looking crappy

I'd once had an issue I was working through, and I thought about what Tarot card would represent the outcome I wanted. I thought "If this is meant to be, it would be the _X of suit_ Tarot card." Predicting which card it would be gave me a 55/56 "out" of being wrong (I only use the minor arcana).

I've long said that I believe I can "manipulate" people. I've recently come to understand that it was the observation of the microexpressions and, as you say, pattern recognition that allows me to steer conversations quite effectively.

My therapist said that this isn't manipulation (in the pathological sense, I guess), but I engineer outcomes from people and that feels like I'm manipulating them.

I think it's complicated. Manipulation isn't, in and of itself, bad. Humans do it all the time to ensure safety and good communication. Where it's bad (I think) is when there's a push for controlling a person beyond anything they'd normally consent to. When I'd studied NLP, I got the possibility
