Put your assets into Gold or at least sideline them from the market. Don’t have more than 250k in any one bank. Spread your money around for FDIC purposes. Consider your go bag plan- ie what to have prepared in the event of disaster. Know where you will go ahead of time and how you’ll get there.

Yep. We've got the go bags & plans, have food & goods ready, backups for house necessities. We're under the FDIC limits with money spread around out of the market. But if the FDIC disappears, or banks go belly up and/or Social Security tanks, then my family is sunk, like many others.

Consider buying physical gold to mitigate some of that risk. You definitely don’t have to go 100% in but gold provides balance to your portfolio for sure. And protection if all hell breaks lose. Sounds like you guys are ready for sure otherwise!

These are all good places to start. I would highly recommend stocking up on ammo and becoming proficient in firearms training. Don’t be a victim. Be intelligent. Don’t seek out trouble but be prepared if trouble should find you. Emergency meals, water supply and supplies are also vital.
