Last night I rewatched the original movie in the series, "28 Weeks Later." It was shot on camcorders, and despite being lo-res looked fine on an iPhone. The film has been largely unavailable for years but now BBC iPlayer now has it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002drjy/28-days-later

I'm paying to watch the movie. I wasn't invited to the premiere—the production crew had all signed NDAs to not reveal the film was shot with iPhones so I don't think my scoop when down too well. Anyway, I'll report back with a review soon.

I won’t give too much away. For a start, the film is excellent, as you’d expect from Danny Boyle. It’s surprisingly tender in parts.

Saw this last night in a near-empty theatre, and oh wow. Just brilliant.
I am not a horror fan or a zombie fan, and am long past enjoying Tarantino-type gore-fests. This movie is bloody, but has soul, and art.
Just great.
