Bear in mind Henry that these are modern rolls (ie not including pre-digital) but a few rolls do go back to 2008, mainly though I started back on film from 2013 and then more in earnest from around 2015.
Think I managed to rescue about 15 rolls from the 90s early 2000s when I was in my 20s. My Dad chucked all his negs out in 2007, and my shoddy Paterson enlarger 🤦♂️
Oh that's not good news, but 15 rolls sounds not too bad 🤞 One day I'm going to tackle those boxes of negs from the 80's and 90's taken with my Ricoh 35EFS and Olympus AZ330, there might be some worth scanning, possibly 😬
Some of my old negs are repeated in slides. A schoolmate and I both worked at a company that produced educational slides, and there was a system to transfer neg to positive. In fact I'm sure they were old Kodachrome machines, size of a room.
Yes, 80s and 90s images will be interesting.
Mine are just piled up on top of the scanner after scanning 😂. I will get round to them at some point (sleeving them)
I have no catalogue system at all, never have had.
I am just not that organised 😂
I sleeve them if I remember then write on what camera I think it was 😂
Aw come on guys, we shoot film at least in part because we want our photos to sail forth into the future, telling stories to those who come after us, please for me, sort em out !
Whilst I don’t disagree with that, I have no one who is interested to pass my negs onto.
My work will fade away once I die unless I can convince my son that there is worth to keeping my digital archive and sales channels alive.
But they will all go within a generation.
I got a load of little round plastic screw top containers out of Asda that are perfect for uncut 35mm rolls post-scanning. I have about 40 so that’s how bad I can let the backlog get before being spurred into action to cut, sleeve and file them
