There are two kinds of people. The kind that don't like david lynch movies because they don't make sense and the kind that fucking love david lynch movies because they don't make sense

Wish life was more like a David Lynch film. Sitting in a diner and some random cowboy walks up and engages with you, it seems like this person is extremely important and will drastically alter the direction of your life, but no, you'll never see him again and proceed like nothing happened at all.
I certainly watched Eraserhead. Did I understand it? Not important. The important thing is I watched it 20 years ago once and it still makes me wonder about it from time to time. It makes me think. That's good. Art that can do that is good.
I went into a gas station convenience store the other day and the guy at the register was deep in an argument(?) about storytelling on the phone. When I went up to buy my snacks and we exchanged pleasantries he went, "I've been better. I watched Blue Velvet ten years ago and I just don't get it"
Iβm the kind who was watching Blue Velvet as a teenager when her dad walked in just in time for the scene where Dennis Hopper is huffing gas and committing a sexual assault π¬

I've never seen one. haven't specifically avoided them, just never got around to it.
not sure itβs indicative of the rest of his body of work.
