Great capture of the most frustrating bird I have tried to photograph (save the kingfisher). They move so fast and are constantly in motion. Nice to get one taking a little rest and from the back so you fully appreciate their coloring.

This was my first ever sighting/photo(s), and its local appearance suggests that while not rare in CO, they are not seen around here. Local birders are commenting they've never seen one around here, with one woman very excited she also has one in her nest box this year. A beautiful bird, for sure!
