A big part of my early TMNT fandom were the Archie Adventure Comics. Took iver 30 years but NECA did what Playmates did not and brought Dreadmon and Jagwar to our shelves.

A ridiculous means of space travel to be sure, but made f9r a decent device in the spinoff Mighty Mutanimals later on.
Some of the IDW collected editions are (were?) affordable, some are bonkers.
A good middle ground between the 87 show and Mirage.1
