Can't stress enough that if you don't like a game, you don't have to play it. Playing the old dead games will still bring you satisfaction. If you're a creator and worried about it being not relevant content, trust me(someone who made a career out of dead games). It can work out.

We like them.
Therefore, someone likes them.
Therefore, they ARE relevant.
That's my logic anyway. Different words, same message!
Games don't disappear from stores the way they used to before the internet, and there's always something "new" to discover. :)
I had the same thought when suddenly I was the biggest streamer in a game. Worldwide, on twitch. It was only some viewers, but it brought random viewers in.
Luckily (or sadly, in that context), Heroes of the Storm isn't even close to dead.
We also need all the fighting game YouTube homies to flock to Bluesky!!!
I'm currently getting a nice and small amount of views, but tbh, what I really want is more of a showcase of what makes me happy lol.
Except Freaky Flyers, I think that's just me haha
And then there's morons out there who somehow support this corrupt system.
So, I play the slightly more niche games.
(not even kidding that dragged me by my teeth through elden ring)
I will continue to play dead games that bring me joy and occasionally talk about them
This is how I end up watching hours-long video essays on old games I've never played nor ever had an interest in, and can be entranced the entire time.
Don't hold back on sharing that passion. Please. I want more.
I strongly agree about playing games that aren't currently on sale. That's most of my favourites tbh. I feel uncomfortable calling them 'dead'. Only people selling them think that.
Me: “3 people are in the Asura Buster FightCade lobby? Splendid”
