the sheer Amount of hanzi practice duoling has laid out for the cn course feels a little excessive to me . like id get drilling that were i actually writing on paper but digital ageeee this isn't the time

it doesn't feel like it helps me recognize the characters any better and outside of the lessons i dont think i could replicate them . if i really wanted to consistently practice that ig i could use the drawing keyboard but why would i do that ??
im not using duolingo exclusively thank goodness but it does make me groan when i get to another set of 6 lessons that are just Write This Character 25 Times
AGREED this is why I rly like the hello Chinese app! It also makes you write stuff but it’s not as punishing as Duolingo so it feels way easier and less stressful. At best I think recognizing the pictographs in the characters is helpful but… stroke order? In this day and age? Crazy
RIGHT im using hello chinese too :3 but ive already got the streak & the friends on duolingo so i figured it couldn't hurt to do both, plus i know if i do hello chinese exclusively ill just breeze thru the review task for my daily
