Quick observation about the police in Mexico City, a metropolis of 22 million people. They drive almost ridiculously small cars. Normal cars, like, not suped up SUVs. Boxy small cars. They wear normal uniforms, they don’t look like military small-dicks, they the the armor and the helmets.

My hotel is a block from a major plaza where thousands gathered today for Good Friday. So tonight, before I headed to my room, I stepped outside the hotel for a breath of air. In front of me was a bus.
Standing a few feet away—absolutely no one else around, it was 2 am—was a police officer, a stunningly gorgeous woman in her early 30s, listening to Beyoncé on her phone.
You probably just saw the ones from the nice zones, but everywhere else, they are ruthless and corrupt as they come.
