By all accounts the war should’ve seen a massive draft but Palpatine chose the ‘mercy’ of a clone army much as the Seps chose a droid one. Innocents would be spared, the war fought between general officers and their expendable armies.

I honestly think it's kind of interesting as well in a sense of a pure psychological examination of Skywalker of being the sole survivor of the Padawan Pack, like this in terms of remembering for all the Jedi that died on Jabiim.

I think there's an interesting argument in that the Jedi could've been forced into it through prior-Ruusan Reformation laws in which the Jedi were often seen as Generals... and they were the Generals for the last great wars that the Republic fought (and of which Palpatine would of course
