Yes! Also, utility is generally a false argument because of the way the system is set up (at least in the US). Nobody is going to be able to get themselves out of medical debt or buy a house by giving up the occasional Sunday brunch.

I embed financial literacy into my special education instruction. When I teach my students budgeting, I have them identify their financial goals based on what's important to them. It's different for everyone.
Yup! Also, when people get upset when someone uses food stamps for healthy more expensive food. That person is trying to keep their family healthy. How about they start shaming the store instead for selling healthy shit so expensive?
This is also the catch 22 bc they are shamed for the unhealthy junk (which is of course more affordable, more shelf stable, and more filling at times). You lose no matter what.
