The Member for Cowper only just held onto his seat after an impressive woman Independent almost toppled him from his perch. You have to wonder if the voters in these badly flood affected areas, see how poorly they are served by who they voted for.

We were in Cowper and now Page. Totally useless representatives, almost impossible to get an appointment with them. I am blocked from both their FB pages for daring to criticise them and their “policies”. Even Barnaby and McCormack haven’t blocked me but Hogan and Conaghan are real free speech duds

Commiserations. I lived in the Gold Coast, Queensland, for over 30yrs. Wall to wall Libs. Karen Andrews sighted twice, election time only! But a young Independent slashed McPherson margin from 9.3 to less than 4%. Hope for next time, esp. if they stay lazy and stupid!

They are a wonderful example to the world. Not just in charity but they are very tolerant even allowing non-Sikh inter-marriages. I am an atheist but I respect Sikhs above all other mainstream religions.
