Clear and present danger! He should be impeached for continuing this narrative which is promoting a violation of international law and crimes against humanity.

He definitely needs to be impeached, but in order to remove him it must be proven that he has committed an actual crime. Until then, and as long as the Senate is in gop control, no impeachment can succeed.
I think it’s false to claim that being proven to have committed crimes would earn him an impeachment. McConnell basically admitted that Trump had clearly committed crimes but said that the justice system would address those crimes.
Sorry, I wasn't clear. He cannot be impeached UNLESS it can be proven that he actually committed a crime. Nothing is automatic. Indeed, it was proven in both of his previoius impeachments that he had committed crimes, but the gop-controlled Senate chose to ignore them and acquit.
No, he must be convicted by the Senate before he can be removed from office. Impeachment is an administrative procedure, not a criminal one. The impeachment process is completely separate from criminal processes, or is supposed to be.
Correction: in order to remove him, Republicans in the Senate would have to act accordingly to the evidence. They’ve been given two opportunities to covict, and both times went in saying they wouldn’t convict before even hearing anything.
Democrats need to keep looking for cracks….with all of his illegal government destruction and threats of ethnic cleansing I’ve got to believe a few republicans may realize what an absolute disaster this is turning into….
He could shoot someone on 5th avenue and the GOP would still not vote to impeach him. He caused an insurrection and the GOP didn't vote to impeach him and that was a less maga Congress
How does that work now that he has immunity? Did the SC think about how total immunity would affect the whole impeachment process, because why bother? Or was that the point? 🤨
The abysmal SCOTUS ruling did include an important caveat; the word "official". They said the President is immune from prosecution for performing his OFFICIAL duties. The coming months will definitely put that qualifier to the test, i.e., can commission of a crime be considered an official duty?
Except he just issued an EO announcing “sanctions” against the International Criminal Court for their “treatment” of US and Israel. What exactly has the ICC done to the USA?!?
I agree with you. But the US doesn’t even recognize itself as being under the jurisdiction of the international criminal court. So what then?
I’m doing my best to push back as a mere individual citizen, but the idea that this administration might care about what the ICC might do is a pipe dream.
Well drat. I just did some quick research and discovered that the US is not a signatory to the Rome Statute and does not recognize any authority of the Hague to prosecute it's citizens for war crime. My hopes have once again been dashed.

That obviously didn’t work out.
But proving that he is guilty of the impeachment charges is clearly irrelevant to whether or not Republicans vote to convict him.
They should issue them every single day.
I think the best we can hope for is that Dems will (FINALLY) begin to wholeheartedly obstruct. Let no action go unchallenged.
The midterms are a long way away, with no guarantees.
