Lol is this what a normal plane seat is like now? I’m never flying United again, I will rent a fuckin car and drive four hours before I do this again haha

Also I can NOT get over how many people close the windows now. I can’t see outside at all in my aisle seat, I will never ever get over this weird trend
yeah everyone closes the windows now. I think it's because everyone's using electronic devices and the outside makes it too bright to see their phones. also it's definitely felt the seats have gotten smaller
Ughhh I felt this so damn much yesterday, my feet had pins and needles so often I had to reposition and stand every 20 minutes or so... for 9 hours total >>
Oh yeah those seats felt small to ME, also sorry I did close the window but it’s because the sun was reflecting off the wings into my eyeballs and I needed to sleep 🫥
Is it a United A321neo jet? I thought I was boarding a fancy new plane and instead I found it was an excuse to put in the most cramped seats (not helped by a married couple I was shoulder-to-shoulder with in the middle seat:
"Do you want to switch to sit together?"
"No, we like being separated." 💀)
It's really cool when people put their seat back, and I get to lose circulation in my legs for several hours so someone can feel a little more comfortable
My last flight some guy knocked my phone off the little stand above the food tray when he leaned his seat back, the flight attendant told him not to lean back like that and he got up, looked at me, and said "well he's slouching". The FA and I were dumbfounded for a minute. I was in the back row also.
The pessimist in me wants to say that they make main worse so more people will buy premium seats, but that doesn’t really work out because it’s not like everyone could just buy a premium seat. The main cabin seats would still be full of people. It’s not about upselling, it’s about fitting more seats
Every time I find myself in seats like that I just think about the fact that I am not a big person. I am like 5'7". I am not sure how the fuck anyone bigger than me would fit into something like that and realize the answer is that they just don’t.
Amen to that. When I do fly, I either fly Southwest where they still have...a little room, or I pay the extra for the exit seat. Otherwise I'm in pain 15 minutes in.
Honestly this is why for anything where the drive would be under 8 hours, without question I'm driving. Longer than that it starts getting into "will I be too fatigued to drive safely" territory, but that's another story.

Everyone kept their windows closed constantly for whatever reason, and the legroom made a mini Cooper look like a minivan. It was really bizarre
But also, United is like the worst as far as seats go.
European airlines are even worse.
main cabin is bad
"Do you want to switch to sit together?"
"No, we like being separated." 💀)
But yeah I bet, I’m 5’10 and my knees basically hit here, I see a few people just mashed against the seat backs
Yeah I always just need to play extra for more leg room. It's crappy
There is nothing weird about that at all
Also yeah I have to get aisle seats only so I can stand up every hour and a half or whatever
It's race to the bottom bullshit.
This is flying across the country, but if I just flew to a direct city and rented a car it’d be less time than this 12 hour day
