Some people I like are replying, "No, this was okay, at least Moran pushed back," and there is certainly room for differing opinions about how this was handled. But I think those differing opinions are, in part, because we have set our standard for how journalists should confront liars too low.

Jesus Christ. You can't say "It's contested." You can't say "Agree to disagree." You can't say "Let's move on." You have to say, "Mr. President, that is a lie." If it means he never talks to you again or yells at your boss, THAT'S FINE. What have you lost? More "opportunities" like this one?
