Congratulations to Davy Russell and Labour, but the big winner in the Hamilton byelection should be the movement for electoral reform. Winning on 31.6% - less than 1 in 3 vote - is no way to resolve a democratic mandate (not to say Russell woulnd't have won under another system, of course).
