Nobody ever doubted his natural talent, but we rarely saw it consistently at the Bridge . Given that record I don't think it's at all surprising that he was sold and I don't remember many people at the time complaining too much that he was .

He just needed fitness and games. Sometimes a player just lands in a club/team that suits them. That’s what’s happened here. There’s no guarantee he’d have developed the same way anywhere else

Well I was gutted he was sold. The talent and potential was clear to see, and off the top of my head most of his starts for us was under Sarri at LB.
Patience is always key with youngsters, something we haven't had for a long time (time will tell if we've learnt a lesson now i.e. George)

injuries are an occupational hazard
some actually move on and play worse as it happens

Strong disagree - remember he made all of his 126 appearances for us before the age of 22, in about 5 different positions under 4 managers, and main injury was a freak one. We should have managed him much better. Best comparison to now is Tyrique George and CHO 10x bigger impact at same age

Fair - personally would take either 2022 Hudson-Odoi or 2025 Hudson-Odoi over every winger that has been at the club since (bar Palmer, though not really a winger)

I think if I'd seen him be consistent in his performances over a sustained period of time I would agree with you but on too many occasions he just never got going. There was absolutely no doubting his talent, but he was never fully there mentally when he was with us -I'm pleased he's doing well.
