Went through similar with the Florida Marlins. After they won the world series in 1997, the owner sold the team off for parts. Until about 2003 when then won it again, there were only a few thousand fans in the stadium
Now we got a new retractable domed stadium and still low attendance.

I live about 2 hours from Sac. I was going to go to this series, but I refuse to give John Fisher a cent of my money. The Vegas stadium will never happen, and the team will be sold. I believe.

I think it's about 50/50 the team stays in Sacramento permanently or goes to SLC. I don't see them going back to OAK and Vegas is still a pipe dream

Ryan Smith acquired an NHL for SLC because Gary Bettman had the stones to force an incompetent owner to sell the franchise.

And just think, this is against the Cubs, one of the best traveling teams in the league, with a large fanbase outside Chicago. If this is how they fill the stadium against the Cubs, imagine the Rays or Twins coming to town.
