It’s always important to question government decisions and it’s unrealistic to think you’re going to like the result of every one, but so far I am optimistic that Canada will see the growth in economy promised and focus on initiatives that will help us in years ahead.
He is not correct major changes need to happen and they are, No more sitting on our hands and guys like axeworthy holding up progress that depserately needs to happen
The law "rushed through Parliament with little debate" was supported by Conservatives. Canada has responded to tariffs with new measures announced recently. More counter-tariffs will be added if current negotiations fail. All of this has been in the news.
Really unfair attack. G7 works by consensus and can’t agree on strong outcomes on Ukraine and climate if the US disagrees. That’s holding Carney to an impossible standard. Also, just because Trump said Canada was considering participating in the Golden Dome doesn’t mean it’s true.
So you think you can live in a world where Canada survives without trade with US and defence help? Grow up make some deals with Europe to diversify so not total dependence on US when Tyrants get elected
See Britains Labour Party for an example of an apparently left leaning government falling over themselves to align with various fascists like Israel & the Techbros.
And hopefully it doesn't, Carney guided Britain through a really bad spell financially so he's the right man to stabilise if there isn't a bunch of stealth far righters in the party working against him like there seems to be in Britain and the States.
Nonsense. It has only been a few months. Stop throwing stones. Also, it is not the Prime Minister that is catering to the US, it is the Canadians who have purchased the largest amount of US Bonds ever. Talk about them instead.
Axeworthy playing politics. I’m sure that makes him feel good and useful. Personally, a PM that is pragmatic, not an ideologue like Trudeau was and indeed how Axeworthy was, is the only way ahead in current geopolitics. By the way, Canada is not committed to the “dome”, much can change
Yes I do. I'm a Canadian citizen who votes in elections. If I think my government is making bad choices I can speak up about it and it's your right to disagree with that.
You not liking what I have to say has no bearing on the validity of my criticism.

If not, he’s outlined what he will do
He’s signing a security agreement with the EU this week
He’s ignored Trump instead of playing his stupid media game and this isn’t what you want but it is effective
It creates an agency to facilitate projects the Provinces and Indigenous groups want built
If it meets certain criteria, the agency will facilitate discussions between all stakeholders to determine if it’s a priority and get approvals
And yes, indigenous nations will be at the table
Yes there are some things that are concerning and are asking Canadians to make a big leap of faith
There is a sunset clause after 5 years so it’s not forever
Canadians are being asked to do the hardest thing - Trust this govt
Hopefully, they get a good communications person

There are far left era in the party who would be better in the NDP trying to throw wrenches into the works
But ideas and inputs during a bill in committee is a good for democracy & bills
Sounds smart to me
he's my favourite, I would have been proud to go down fighting for his leadership bid in 1988.
I suspect that this guy wants Carney to stop acting like Poillevre won the election. That's not what Canadians voted for.
