Shingles vax is the only one that I had a reaction to. Really low grade fever, but teeth chattering chills for an afternoon. Alternative is worse though. Close friends wife battled debilitating rash for over a month. Can cause lifetime issues for older folks.
I got both of my shingles vax through the VA, and I had little to no reaction from the shingles vax. I know everyone is different, but just my thoughts.
Felt flu-ish the following day or two and both arms were sore. I got my vaxxes at CVS by someone who was an antivaxxer (?)…. I asked if it was ok to get all of those shots together… she was like “sure.” She couldn’t have cared less.
Yes. Do get it. The first shot was not bad, body aches, relieved with ibuprofen. But number 2 shot kind of kicked my ass for a couple of days. Be prepared. I still will put up with that then get shingles any day.
It's waaaaay better than shingles! I had a mild case and it was still very painful. If you're a side sleeper and have a favorite side, don't get the shot in that arm. It didn't hurt much when I wasn't lying on that side, but I wasn't able to sleep on that side for four nights.
As someone that had shingles before I was eligible for the vaccine, I can honestly say even if the shingles vaccine is not kind to you, I guarantee you it's 1000 times better than actual shingles. My second dose really made my arm hurt but in the grand scheme of things, that was nothing.
Got"first" shingles dose--nurse advised me I should get a second for full immunity in 2-6 months. Didn't notice anything with first one but she said the second one hits you as your body pulls a full immune response. Credible study showed a connection between shingles and later dementia, not for me.
My second shingles shot had me down for a couple of days. I got all of the side effects! But I saw my mother suffer through shingles and I think it was worth it
The second one didn’t make me feel bad at all. The first one was a bit rough next day tho. I think I read where you get like 94 percent protection from first shot, the rest on the second… but not sure about that.
I just got my 2nd shingles vaccine. It's two shots. I thought it was going to be worse than it was-but then when I looked back on it, it was worse than I realized. So, not good, not bad.
My latest booster made it possible to receive international radio broadcasts from London during the blitz. Edward R. Murrow's reporting from Trafalgar Square is compelling. In other words, vaccine bonus!
One thing that seems to be happening is people in their 20s and 30s are getting shingles, and doctors are concerned that covid has weakened immune systems.
My reaction was apparently abnormally bad, according to the pharmacist who gave me this year's covid and flu shots.
First one my whole arm hurt for a week.
Second one was typical flu like symptoms for about a day and a half, and general exhaustion for three more.
My sore skinny bird arm kept me up a little and I was a bit tired yesterday
with no real appetite but totally fine today. I don’t react too badly to them. Something I had to have to go to Africa was the worst but I don’t remember what it was.
Tetanus kills my arm for like two weeks!
I can’t remember whether it was the first shingles vaccine or the second that did a number on me. It seems like one was a breeze while other had me feeling below par for a day or two. But it was just for a day or two.

Good luck with your recovery.

Ooooo I hope tht btch gets hers.
The pain was so bad my blood pressure was stroke level.
Don’t put it off.
Just got our 2nd Shingrix plus TDAP boosters last week.
Not as bad as the 1st dose but still unpleasant.
Shewww.
DO NOT DO THIS.
Because you know what, I'm not feeling very mind controlled at all. What is this crap? No powers, not getting controlled. The deep state lied.
MAGA will blame the vaccines for the shingles because they all do their own research ya know
They are full of shingles 💩
Get it?

I already looked it up, it's around $400 out of pocket. IMHO, worth it.
