I'm worried about it expanding to other states. First dose of MMR isn't until 12 months. But I know they will consider giving it early if there is community transmission. I'd absolutely be inquiring if I had an infant in that area.

I'm near the foot of the Appalachians in VA. Due to the freeze Donald put on some organizations there are a bunch of health care facilities that had to close or had to scale way back.

we need vaccines to protect most along with pregnant women.
Measles is especially bad bc it can cause high fever (dangerous for littles) and it has a 4 day asymptomatic contagious period so it spreads easily.
