Where to start? I am a disabled trans person living in the united states, my biological mother is disabled and cannot support me, and my biological father is dead. My brother is giving everything he has to support my mother. I have no other blood relatives to rely on at this time.

My Veni - significant partner in other words - is pregnant with my child. The pregnancy came unexpectedly, fairly deep into my transition which is surprising but also not. This would normally be a good thing, but in the decision she has made to keep the child other things have come into play...

My other nesting partner has decided, in light of the pregnancy, to leave the nesting arrangement. Given we have been entirely reliant on her since my Veni has been out of work and trying to go to school, I cannot see anything materializing for further support, despite her non-specific promises.

I have been homeless before, and am always at risk of being homeless again. Being disabled and trans is one thing, but being completely locked out of SSI due to an unfortunate case of identity theft is another. (Before you say sue, I have already tried to look into it a long time ago. Not possible.)

Given that I cannot work enough to support the bills we have in a 50/50 split, even if I did manage to find work which is unlikely, and there is no way to reduce our cost of living any more and we have already exhausted what little support there is... I have no choice but to ask for help.

Look into your heart, and think for a moment: Given everything going on, would you not do whatever you could to make the world better? Even if you can only keep one disabled trans person and her partner and child off the streets?

I cannot expect a miracle, but if one did come, I would be thankful.
