Slavery started in America in 1619, 406 years ago. Racism still exists in America Today, 406 years later. The right party (people with the required skill set) can eliminate all problems. Just because you don't believe it doesn't make it not true. We have solutions to most if not all problems now.

Slavery didn’t begin in 1619. It’s existed across civilizations for thousands of year, long before the U.S. was even an idea. 1619 marks its beginning in the American colonies, but pretending that’s where the story starts ignores the global context.

“Unlike some forms of slavery that might have been based on debt, conquest, or crime, American chattel slavery was primarily defined by race.” Racism is a learned behavior that we could end with a good social skills class taught to all 0 to 16 year olds. I'm looking for solutions. Are you?

I specifically said, "Slavery started in America in 1619, 406 years ago." So I am not "pretending that's where the story starts" as you say. Also, slavery in Europe differed significantly from the system that developed in the Americas, particularly the chattel slavery practiced in the United States.
