Well, one thing needs to be said and that thing is ‘dammit yours works’ 😄

That reminds me, I have more than one way of fixing mine if the chap who remade the motherboards is still around. Must go through old emails once RetroFest (31/05-01/06) is out of the way.

Steady screen of CPU/ROM/RAM based death, but the screen does respond to the Reset button so there’s life in there somewhere. I’ve had replacement RAM chips for it for literally years but it’s low on the priority list.

I fixed a friends by removing and re-inserting the firmware EPROM. Hopefully it's not a custom chip.

Me too. There’s a chap in Germany who reproduces the PCB and he’s done a multi-version board with ROM and PALs I can hire for €400, or this was the case 5 years ago when I couldn’t afford it.

Fit my own custom chips and see what happens…
