We never stood a chance after Villa came in for him, I'd say it's absolutely a priority to sign a RW along with a LB. I also can't see Villa being able to justify whacking a great lump of a few on the table for an unproven player.

Just from the principal of him belonging to a PL team his value has increased despite his actual abilities not improving. Villa bought him back this summer for 15.5m and can’t see them letting him walk for less than 20m and probably more due to it being midseason

If a deal can be done with add ons then yeah obviously it'll be more than 20 but I'd imagine quite a bit less up front. To say RW is not a priority is wrong though, we're desperate for a RW and a LB more than anything.

Once again Beto and Chermiti where bought because they were the only two strikers we could afford. We paid nothing for them in the first year when we had tried to sign Boniface and Gyokores but couldn't afford them. The two loans made sense considering once again we had no money for other targets.

We did need strikers though mate. Dom was the only fit striker at the club. Beto was the only available option, Chermiti was bought cheaply for the future and when the Beto gamble didn't pay off the Broja loan with no wages paid for half a year was a no brainer with Dom leaving.

The more sensible solution was to replace Richy with a similar player that could play out wide or up top if DCL was injured and spend the rest of it on a fullback. The loan is an issue due to it taking up a league loan spot that again could’ve been used elsewhere.

25m on Beto was too much to start and there were better out there for that price. Regardless of payment structures that 25m still looks the same to PSR putting us closer to breaching the regulations again

I mean the loan for Broja was a no brainer. Arguably our best striker and Harrison had shown that he could do a job the previous year to keep us up. We could talk about a Richi replacement but once again we didn't have the funds. We now have a bit more and are going for the winger.
