We never stood a chance after Villa came in for him, I'd say it's absolutely a priority to sign a RW along with a LB. I also can't see Villa being able to justify whacking a great lump of a few on the table for an unproven player.

Just from the principal of him belonging to a PL team his value has increased despite his actual abilities not improving. Villa bought him back this summer for 15.5m and can’t see them letting him walk for less than 20m and probably more due to it being midseason

If a deal can be done with add ons then yeah obviously it'll be more than 20 but I'd imagine quite a bit less up front. To say RW is not a priority is wrong though, we're desperate for a RW and a LB more than anything.

RB should be our highest priority with it becoming clearer that Patterson might not end up being PL quality and all our other options being 35+. We have 4 wingers in the side currently all of a moderate to good level that can all play RW. The issue is the tactics and role they’re asked to play in

Young has been solid recently, Patterson needs game time and be better in am attacking side. Lindstrom is a CAM not a RW, Ndiaye is a CAM/LW and struggled on the right. McNeil too slow out wide to play on counter and probably better central. Harrison is shit. Tactics awful, so are RW options though.

Genuinely well said here. Regurgitating targets, Danjuma style, only for them to be benched most of the season. It's lazy in my opinion and no excuses now we have TFG in. Big window for Thelwell.
