Oh yeah. That's pretty much what got my parents killed. They abandoned me, so I came back over a decade later to get revenge. They are beyond dead now.

A crow in the wild averages around 7-8 years and only if they can successfully avoid predators and starvation.

If they can remain healthy and uninjured, some have been recorded to live appropriately for 20 years.

So, for a crow to hold a 17-year grudge is a lifetime commitment to being bitter.
