Of all the Lynch films I've found that Mulholland Drive makes the most sense as to plot.

Agreed. I've been rewatching his works since his death, and I find that Mulholland Drive is the easiest to follow. It may have to do with the fact that it was a TV pilot with a twist add-on ending.
