Maslow’s hierarchy of needs implies that all other needs must be met before self actualization can occur.

But this is an oversimplified and white washed take of human existence.

This is my long ass way of saying that we should all express creativity and joy now more than ever

I just read a thing yesterday that referenced Maslow’s hierarchy and it turns out that whole pyramid thing was someone else’s interpretation of his work! He actually believed there are many combinations of lower needs that can allow you to work on self-actualization. You don’t need them all! 🥳

Moslows hierarchy is a deruption of a Indigenous culture the real one has hi values inverted because in tha scale of time living in community for example is more important than food, alone all of us will day in first day 📌

I totally can relate to the survival mode and not doing things I wish for.

Now, it is even worse, and I am struggling with pushing myself.
