People forget that Iran attacked the US Embassy and kidnapped Americans. The US (& Europe) and Iran have not been friends for a long time. Western countries fought Islamic extremists ("War on Terror") and yet Iran continues to su$$ort various groups. There is no love lost between US/Europe & Iran.
