"common sense" is actually the flimsiest justification for a social behavior. It implies perpetuating the past as an inherent value.

Things we also did in the past: blood letting, not washing hands before surgery, corporal punishment in public schools, noblesse oblige.

afaik, the regrettal rate for even GRS/SRS is exponentially lower than knee surgery

There are a lot of accounts from detransitioners that are really honest and interesting, showing regret and detailing pain experienced and lifelong medical interventions required. People need to be aware of what they’re getting into.

There appears to be very little credible testimony from ‘trans’ women who don’t appear to be AGP or autistic, who seem coherent, calm and well put together. I assume they’re out there but just don’t show off in the same way.So it’s hard to see the bigger picture when social media is flooded with AGP

From the accounts I’ve read they say that their gender dysphoria was not eased by surgery and some also say they worked through past trauma to identify why they were dissatisfied with their bodies. Also there was a lot who addressed sexuality. Nothing to do with people like me.
