Senator Murkowski cut a backroom deal to exempt Alaska from Medicaid cuts, but the Senate parliamentarian shut it down. Protecting your own state while harming millions elsewhere is selfishness and disgusting.

There are so many shocking and depressing events everyday now I just feel overwhelmed by them. But yesterday's hideous and unamerican speech to the troops at Fort Bragg especially disturbed me. It was hardly the worst thing he's done, but it felt like a real kick in the gut, and I was sad all day.
