Every year on Memorial Day, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring. They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died. France also gave us this land as American soil.

if you want a factoid to sum up India it is that for over 70 years pedestrians have had the right of way in the country and it has been enforced exactly zero times in national history and about 12 pedestrians nationally are even aware of this law existing and all 12 work in traffic safety
