Markets are signaling end of US economic exceptionalism, and if that proves correct it's unitary executive theory that killed it. That is, if Supreme Court allows Donald Trump to fire Fed Chairman, thereby bringing monetary policy under political control, the risk premium for US assets will soar. 1/

NEW: Trans people centered themselves in a trans case before a very not trans court. Not only was Chase Strangio arguing Wednesday, but a trans plaintiff was in the courtroom, as were many other trans lawyers, journalists, and observers. "Trans people were not hidden Wednesday, and that matters."

To set the stage for what's about to happen at SCOTUS at 10:00am, the case is called US v. Skrmetti. It involves a Tennessee law that bans gender affirming care to trans minors, mainly things like hormone blockers.
