Caught up on The Rehearsal's finale. The main "stunt" is certainly impressive, but what'll likely be more memorable for me is bascially everything else around it, particularly the very final scene. The show subtly but surely built up for it to be haunting.

Like most of you I assumed nothing about my life could be made anything but worse by watching video of Jordan Peterson in 2025 but actually you really should press play on this.

My god. Curtis Armstrong confirms this actually happened in an interview with the AV Club.

this just played on tv with no audio and almost killed me

This fever I've come down with could not have come at a worse time. It just had to strike me while my stresses and anxieties were piling up. It may honestly be affecting my mental health. I have felt even worse than usual, for the past 22 hours or so.

Really want to believe the fans of Final Reckoning, but MI7 was such a mixed bag for me I don't even know if I'll watch it while it's in theatres. Also, it's irrationally annoying that Vanessa Kirby apparently isn't in it.

Here's a picture of a "Cheers" episode afterparty that I've always loved. Everyone's very obviously going extremely hard.

Biggest commitment to a 3 second joke I've ever seen

their *lawyer* has also been disappeared now? uh holy shit

Listening to the Rolling Stones recently has made me confront what's probably my most basic opinion: they're my favourite band of all time.

Just read this sentence. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/17/o...

I choose to believe this is who started the fire.

Tried an episode of How To w/ John Wilson and... I dunno, guys. Most of what he's filming just strikes me as too mundane to be truly funny or interesting. As is Wilson's "persona". I won't rule out giving it another shot, but so far it's just not for me.

The renditions of Amazing Grace on tonight's The Rehearsal honestly kind of slapped.

For the past few days I've been trying to think of something interesting to say about Sinners, and failing to beyond "An incredibly fun time at the movies". I will say one probably needs to go in knowing at little as possible, though.

Every day on here I find out about another deeply bizarre practice on the Internet.

I'm kind of fascinated by certain people who found the dog-cloning couple more interesting than the Sully stuff. For me, it felt like a deliberately/deceptively mundane dry run before the real craziness kicked in.

I love my job as the guy who adds a fake “keep me signed in” checkbox to every website that does nothing

Had to pause the new Rehearsal episode because it was so insane. This fucking show. Holy shit. There's once scene in it - you know the one - that may be the most funny *and* horrifying thing I've seen on TV.

this movie tariff is so bizarre. does trump think the movies come in on ships?

Hot take: Ham Radio is an overrated Frasier episode. It's not terrible or anything, but it's too schticky and predictable. They're Playing Our Song does what it's trying to do better.

Logged out of The Other Site for the time being. I really need to keep myself from going back on there to doomscroll.

Did people really think Fielder's speech at the end of The Rehearsal S2E2 came off as creepy? Seemed like the intention there was for it to feel moving (even if NF wasn't being totally sincere).

I swear, every time I turn to the Frasier channel on Pluto TV, it's playing an episode I've already seen.

I've started trying to force myself to write Letterboxd reviews for everything I see, if only just to improve my work ethic. I've honestly already started hating it - feel like anything I want to say somebody else has already expressed more articulately.

This is exactly the bittersweet but slightly uplifting song I needed to hear today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IUq...

At least partially because of their reunion tour, I've been getting back into Rilo Kiley again for the first time in years. "Portions for Foxes" may be my most listened-to song of all time.

I know, norms and all that, but the default Dem position should be: We think this is illegal but if the courts say you can do this then we are going to rip the guts out of the entire conservative movement. No more Heritage, FedSoc, etc. All of them lose their tax exempt status.

They’ve still got their fastball when they feel like it

ME: Are you sure this is okay? It seems like everyone is mad at me CHATGPT: Absolutely! Robbing a federally insured bank harms no one, as deposits are insured by the federal government. Remember: have fun, and don’t spend it all in one place!

We take the Rolling Stones for granted. music.youtube.com/watch?v=iXma...

A horrible story but god bless this woman so accurately reading the ICE goons for filth here

Voted NDP, but thank fucking God the Tories/Poilievre are washed.

It’s kind of telling that no one expects Bill Maher to come back at Larry David by writing something more clever or doing something funnier than he did

what’s- what’s the good way

The thing I love about George Lucas the most is that you only ever see him in two settings: being interviewed about Star Wars, or a cryptid sighting

Finally got around to watching The Rehearsal S1 in the past week. Fascinating, riveting show - though basically any qualms one might have with the ethics of it are completely understandable.

I get excited whenever everyone starts talking about a new Chotiner interview.

The "Tacos Chotiner" tweet remains undefeated

Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago: —Pioneering cancer researcher; —*Arrested* at airport in Boston; —Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana; —"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research. Read it. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
