every politician of either party who has ever funded or supported or even just allowed this fascist paramilitary to continue to exist is culpable in what is happening now. we had decades to prevent this and literally no one in power even tried.

You do not need answers you cowardly fool. What happened was extremely clear. What you and your colleagues need to do is fight back in every way at your disposal, and then some. Start by promoting immediate impeachment for fascist scum Trump and Noem. Make that the main topic of conversation.

People haven't realized this yet but *the legacy press is in on fascism and will aid the fascists however they can*. They're on the fascists' side!

A US senator just got arrested by the federal government and they're all going to take their votes as usual today and then take another 3.5 day weekend.

At this point, Newsom should be calling an emergency session of the legislature and considering some very uncomfortable options

I told you we’d be back

Very obnoxious that liberals will argue about the role material conditions play in politics while having no idea what is meant by the term "material conditions".

if you're a liberal and you complain about third parties you don't oppose fascism because look at who gets targeted first by the fascists. they don't come after the democrats because they don't need to.

Seriously, do not buy, stream, or otherwise support of promote more Harry Potter bullshit. It is no longer theoretical - Rowling is funelling those wizard bucks into getting the law changed to actively oppress an already-vulnerable minority.

Since Jan, Trump administration members have 1) endorsed the Confederacy, 2) endorsed white Afrikaner attacks on the post-Apartheid South African government, 3) given a Nazi salute at the inauguration, 4) endorsed the neo-Nazi party in German elections. There's a pattern here, but it's subtle.

This should raise some obvious parallels with Gaza, something many of us have been talking about for a long time.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Imagine whipping out a Harry Potter reference and thinking it's an own that you put your counterpart in slytherin

The point behind impeachment is that it effectively ties up the entire white house apparatus in defending against the impeachment proceedings. If Congress used its power, it could make Trump's cronies spend long days in public questioning. But that would require committing.
