“When the report he set in motion finally appeared before councillors, its conclusion that Orkney had no realistic prospect of changing its relationship with the UK was accepted without comment…” #devolution #holyrood

First standards of dress and now standards of debate - another... robust intervention from the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly #stormont #devolution

A dramatic exit from an international gathering, you say?

Lucky sod

You’re incredibly lost?

£5 to the first tabloid to run this under the headline ‘Seagullped!’

Hmm, reserving judgement until I listen to some podcasts

Hasn’t the world suffered enough?

Worst day for the Ayatollah since Sam Hammam left Cardiff City

And to think some cynics would have you believe that the British print media is full of crap these days

“Sue Cook’s pulled out”

A depressing read on the blend of distinctive Northern Irish societal factors and more general technological trends and anti-immigration dynamics which have come together during last week’s thuggery in N Ireland

More selection news ahead of the 2026 #Senedd election: in Labour’s most tightly contested battle so far - Afan Ogwr Rhondda - the Deputy FM has been placed at the head of the Labour list, with the current Deputy Presiding Officer ranked 3rd (behind Buffy Williams) #devolution

For those still waiting near their fax machine or electric telegraph in case of a last minute MBE, I’m sorry to report that the King’s Birthday Honours List has been published online www.gov.uk/government/c...
