I checked out Postcards from the Edge and The Graduate from the library and it wasn't until the opening credits on The Graduate that I realized they were both directed by Mike Nichols. Wild coincidence of all the films I could have picked.

The Brutalist has an intermission. I may rank it as the best film of the decade just for that. It should've been advertised in the trailer. That 15-minute timer is award-worthy. A triumph of filmmaking.

Totally unsurprising. I questioned if they could even reach the third-place match, never called them a favorite, and picked a totally different final. Yet still, it's stunning how bad they've been. I don't think the team suffers from over-confidence bleeding into arrogance. I think it's ignorance.
